Commodity futures trading……….?

Question by RoastGoose: Commodity futures trading……….?
Hi

I’m trying to do valuation on Commodity Futures Options.

Is there somewhere i can get the Volatility on a commodity future?

e.g. September Corn (ZCU11)

You can’t just look up a previous “historical” volatility and plug . . . → Read More: Commodity futures trading……….?

Looking help with stock market(Futures/Options)?

Question by Tony S: Looking help with stock market(Futures/Options)?
My personal study is coming along well. This interest started because I want to understand how speculation/trading might have had a positive or negative impact on things like global food prices, gas prices and the previous recessions/crashes. I am very interested in CDO/Futures/Options/Commodity trading and such. I am also not picking up many basics(101) of the stock market as quickly as I want(Feel I should).

I am tired of hearing republican or democrat spins on the stock market.

Can you recommend some sites, people, books or . . . → Read More: Looking help with stock market(Futures/Options)?

Question about commodity trading, specifically light sweet crude?

Question by Steven Andro: Question about commodity trading, specifically light sweet crude?
I’m thinking about making a play on oil. I’d like to buy some sort of contract betting that the price of oil will be higher by next fall, say Nov or Dec 2007. I’m not sure what would be the best and easiest way for me to make this play. I would like to make an investment like a call option where I only risk the premium. Are there call options on oil? I’ve found futures contracts on oil but it . . . → Read More: Question about commodity trading, specifically light sweet crude?
